Project
Around 2,100 tonnes of steel are being finished with duroZINQ for a superlative bus and multi-storey car park.
Precipitation such as rain or snow brought in by vehicles, other contamination such as oil-based residues, and not least aggressively acting de-icing salts during the winter months cause additional corrosive stress in multi-storey car parks. All the more reason for those responsible to opt for duroZINQ batch galvanising for a wide variety of steel structures during the construction of the multi-storey „Pink Car Park“ complex at Wembley Park. This is a major project which, upon completion, will provide 290 coach and 734 car parking spaces and, on event days, can accommodate up to 16,500 visitors for Wembley Stadium and the SSE Arena, Wembley, as well as the surrounding 85-hectare Wembley Park site.
Realisation
Approximately 2,100 tonnes of steel, including beams up to 18 metres in length, have been dipped into the molten zinc since August 2018. All of the roughly 13,350 individual parts delivered were sent straight to the construction site in London after surface finishing.
