Klimaschutz-Unternehmen e. V. (initially translated as "Climate Protection Companies, registered association") is an association of German companies that demonstrate exemplary practices in climate protection and energy efficiency optimisation. The above-average achievements of the association members are verified through a demanding admission process conducted by external assessors. The concrete objective of the entrepreneurial excellence initiative for climate protection and energy efficiency is to support businesses in their climate protection efforts, to represent the members' interests in climate policy, and to disseminate best-practice examples in the economy in order to trigger concrete climate protection projects within companies.
The members are characterised by:
- Ambitious goals for climate protection and energy efficiency, which are regularly analysed and reviewed, as well as the continuous improvement of energy-efficient production processes and internal company processes.
- Future-oriented business models through innovative products and services that contribute to climate protection
- active knowledge transfer by providing practice-proven climate protection solutions
How do we get involved there?
ZINQ has been a member of the association since 2020. For the managing partner of the ZINQ Group, Lars Baumgürtel, the award and admission to the association are a confirmation of the course pursued for many years and, at the same time, a motivation to continue setting ambitious goals:
„Being admitted to the exclusive circle of climate protection companies is a special confirmation for our company and our employees of our activities in the field of environmental and climate protection. In surface technology, ZINQ sees itself as a pioneer for sustainable innovations, combining efficiency with effectiveness in the product and the process. As a Cradle-to-Cradle certified climate protection company, we aim to implement strategies and measures for greater circularity on the path to Zero Carbon and Zero Waste – including in energy-intensive industries.“
