ZINKSTAHL is the formula for economical and environmentally friendly steel applications with hot-dip galvanizing.
Here, experts and companies meet who promote the technical development and use of hot-dip galvanised steel. The ZINKSTAHL Initiative pursues the following goals, among others:

• to clarify the economic and ecological benefits of batch galvanizing and to impart information and knowledge
• to initiate and support new research and development activities for the material ZINC STEEL
• to promote normative foundations for resource-efficient new developments and to create suitable conditions for application
• to illustrate resource efficiency and sustainability through EPD investigations
• To initiate media campaigns for increased public awareness.

The motto of the ZINKSTAHL initiative: We don't want members, but „contributors“! Because here we are open to new interested parties and ideas. Users and adopters of hot-dip galvanised steel are therefore explicitly invited to „get involved“!

Furthermore, the Zink initiative offers companies in the zinc industry a platform for exchanging information on current topics.

How do we get involved there?

Since the first meeting of the ZINKSTAHL steering committee in April 2012, ZINQ has been a participant, not least to make the economic and ecological benefits of hot-dip galvanising visible to the public and to drive innovation. At regional training seminars, which ZINKSTAHL has been organising together with the Association of German Master Builders since the beginning of 2016, we give lectures on hot-dip galvanised steel for architects and engineers and actively seek dialogue. Because we are convinced: the future can only be shaped together.
