White head, strong idea - how ecoZINQ carries an artistic vision

For the exhibition „Kopfsache“ (21 June – 7 September 2025) at the Funnix Sculpture Garden in East Frisia, sculptor Cornelia Weihe created a steel sculpture approximately 2.50 metres high – a transparent structure in a spiral motion reminiscent of a head. To permanently protect the object from the elements, the circular ecoZINQ surface was used. This not only provided reliable corrosion protection but also enabled the subsequent white coating, which further emphasised the effect of light and transparency.

Implementation

After its artistic creation from February to March 2025, the approximately 95 kilogram sculpture „Caput lux“ was galvanised at ZINQ, painted by Cornelia Weihe, and installed in June – an overall smooth, precise process.

For my sculpture "Caput lux," ecoZINQ was the ideal foundation for permanent outdoor display. The collaboration with ZINQ was straightforward and reliable—exactly what I, as an artist, wanted for this project.

Realisation

Following its artistic creation from February to March 2025, the approximately 95-kilogram sculpture „Caput lux“ was hot-dip galvanised by ZINQ, painted by Cornelia Weihe and installed in June – an altogether smooth and precise process.
