Tailor-made sun and heat protection for balconies and patios? Awnings are the ideal everyday helper against high summer temperatures.
2,000 groove tubes and 13,000 square tubes of up to seven metres in length are to be powder-coated in the colours RAL 9016, RAL 9006 and DB 703 fine structure for the Oldenburg-based awning manufacturer Nova Hüppe. Of particular importance to the client are not only corrosion protection, but also the visual appearance and compliance with the required coating thicknesses in order to guarantee the functionality of the components.

Realisation

At the Castrop-Rauxel surface treatment centre, the awning tubes underwent a six-stage chemical pre-treatment. This was followed by drying the tubes and the electrostatic application of the powder coating. To cure the paint and form a uniform layer of the desired thickness, the tubes then passed through the stoving oven. Following final inspection, the tubes were batched and dispatched.
