duroZINQ finishing of open, asymmetrical skip containers with a capacity of 10 m³.

Project

The company Laudon, which is one of the market leaders in container manufacturing in Germany, had received an enquiry from its customer REMONDIS, one of the world's leading service providers for recycling, among other things. It concerned 10 m3 asymmetric skip containers without lids, which, however, were not to be finished in a paint shop as before, but hot-dip galvanised. ZINQ was brought on board during the planning phase to optimise the design for subsequent hot-dip galvanising, as it was essential to avoid distortion during the immersion process in the molten zinc.

Realisation

Thanks to constructive details, intelligent suspension, a defined dwell time in the duroZINQ melt, and a great deal of finesse during the dipping and extraction process, the containers achieve maximum corrosion protection combined with a compelling appearance. After hot-dip galvanising, the open-top skip containers are also provided with supplied safety and company markings. The future expansion of container volumes for hot-dip galvanising has already been agreed upon by all project partners today.
