Corrosion-protected balloon invites to the musical „Abenteuerland“

A replica hot-air balloon weighing several tonnes is to serve as an eye-catcher for the new musical „Abenteuerland“ and adorn the entrance roof of the Capitol Theater in Düsseldorf as the venue. High-quality, durable and sustainable corrosion protection is required for the internal steel components, and dimensional accuracy without any kind of distortion is the specification for the galvanising process. The materials receive the desired corrosion protection with the environmentally optimised ecoZINQ surface.

 

Realisation

Around 2.2 tonnes of steel were collected from the client using the depotmobil collection and delivery service, refined with ecoZINQ, and the precisely fitted and now protected materials, free from any kind of distortion, were subsequently delivered right on schedule in front of the Capitol Theater in Düsseldorf. The final lift of the multi-tonne hot-air balloon onto the roof then took place in mid-October 2023, allowing the musical to premiere as planned with a real eye-catcher.
