Forward-looking corrosion protection and innovative tag & track technology

duroZINQ hot-dip galvanising of components up to 10.5 metres in length and a unit weight of 5 tonnes for the construction of a silo system alongside a palletising hall in Duisburg (North Rhine-Westphalia). Over 2,200 ZINQ tags with the underlying Tag & Track technology ensure a smooth logistics process with optimal tracking of the roughly 800 tonnes of structural steel components in total.

 

Realisation

The ZINQ tags were individually ordered from ZINQ in accordance with customer specifications, populated with the information individually required for each steel component, and attached directly after their manufacture. 91 components received their corrosion protection with duroZINQ. In late summer 2022, the project was completed with the initial filling of the silos with granules. In the end, there are forty silos capable of storing and further processing granules.
