verticalZINQ surface finishing of the rails from the PILA assembly system with different cross-sections (for example 80 x 50 millimetres or 100 x 100 millimetres) in various wall thicknesses and with different grooves. The system is used in particular by professional building services installers during assembly.

Realisation

The products with a standard length of 6 metres are dipped vertically into the 7.5-metre-deep zinc bath at the Kissing site near Augsburg. For this purpose, after degreasing, pickling and rinsing, they are brought into the vertical position using a special device and thus immersed in the flux bath. After the components have been preheated in a drying oven to approximately 100 °C, they receive their alloy coating in the zinc bath. The components are then also cooled in the vertical position. The packaging of the corrosion-protected materials is carried out according to customer requirements — a flexible logistics concept is linked to this depending on where they are currently needed.
