Durable solutions for the surfaces of partially oversized turbine components thanks to duroZINQ.

duroZINQ hot-dip galvanising of components for turbines used in hydroelectric power stations. These involve individual weights of up to 1.8 tonnes with maximum diameters of 3.7 metres. Generator base plates, turbine shafts, adjusting rings, inlet covers, inlet cones and runner cones were finished.

Realisation

The components were immersed in the XXL galvanising bath in Maintal (8.50 metres x 2.60 metres x 3.30 metres), thus receiving their protection against corrosion.
