Hot-dip galvanising followed by powder coating plus ZINQ milk run service.
For a residential project with 20 apartments in Witten (North Rhine-Westphalia), steel structures for balconies with connecting corridors and louvres have been protected against corrosion and given an enhanced appearance with colour. colorZINQ (ZINQ in colour) ensures individual aesthetics in warm colours combined with sustainable and effective corrosion protection. The components to be finished have a total weight of approximately 31 tonnes; they were collected using the ZINQ depotmobil transport service and delivered back to the client following duplex coating.
Realisation
The approx. 21.5-tonne steel structure and the louvres were first immersed in the zinc bath and then provided with a powder coating in RAL 7016, i.e. anthracite grey, and RAL 7006, i.e. beige grey, both in a fine texture, and delivered via depotmobil to the steel and metal construction company Beckmann in Wetter, North Rhine-Westphalia. The first tenants moved into their „district of warm colours“ in June 2021.
