Project

Retired stainless steel gratings from the House of History in Bonn have been repurposed into a new functional concept through the initiative of metal designer Anna Sänger. Together with pupils from the Carl-Reuther Vocational College in Hennef, 52 pieces of furniture were created for the museum garden. ZINQ handled the surface coating (primer plus topcoat), thereby concealing the traces of decades of use. The project combines reuse with the promotion of young talent. It demonstrates how new things can emerge from existing materials through design ambition, craftsmanship precision, and collaboration.
