EWERS Karosserie- und Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co. KG has developed equipment trailers for rapid-flow water rescue for the civil protection services in North Rhine-Westphalia. Having already successfully completed other projects in the civil protection sector with ZINQ, including command and control trailers (AnhFüLa), as well as chassis for beverage trailers, were successfully completed using ZINQ, the company once again relied on ZINQ’s expertise for this series of civil protection equipment trailers. The ecoZINQ surface treatment was used, which emits 43 % less CO₂ than a conventional hot-dip galvanised surface. Every tonne of steel protected against corrosion with ecoZINQ saves 185 kg of CO₂ compared to high-quality coating systems. ZINQ 360 also ensured that the process ran smoothly: with expert advice and bespoke logistics, ZINQ organised the collection and return of the chassis in agreed batch sizes.
