Project

Aluminium sheets, gutters and substructures are given a high-quality powder coating.

Weighing 120 tonnes, measuring 40 metres in length and glazed with 39 coloured panes – those are the key figures of the Brillux Bridge, which connects the paint and coatings manufacturer’s company-owned guest house with the factory premises. To ensure greater longevity, 325 aluminium sheets, 40 substructures and 40 gutters, also made of aluminium, had to be coated with a high-grade powder paint. Thanks to proven coating expertise and the available processing facilities, COATINQ Castrop-Rauxel GmbH was awarded the contract.

Realisation

In spring 2019, 325 aluminium sheets, 40 substructures and 40 gutters underwent chemical pre-treatment at COATINQ Castrop-Rauxel GmbH in preparation for the actual powder coating. As specified by the client, the coating applied was Brillux Premium polyester powder 5932 in the grey shade DB 702 with a silk-matt finish.
