microZINQ surface finishing of wire mesh used as gabions for the construction of a green bridge in Thyrow/Brandenburg on the B101n.

Realisation

252 pieces of welded wire mesh with a mesh size of 2.5 x 15 cm and a thickness of 8 mm were initially manufactured from high-tensile structural steel wire. Afterwards, the meshes, with unit weights of 73 kg, were given their corrosion protection at the ZINQ location in Hagen. The corrosion protection experts in Hagen organised the direct dispatch of the thin-layer batch-galvanised components to the construction site, meaning work on the green bridge could then be completed on schedule.
