Project

For the monumental art installation bLINK by internationally renowned artist Katharina Grosse in Gothenburg (Sweden), the ZINQ Maintal site was involved as a technical partner for corrosion protection. At the heart of the project was a sculpture measuring 14 x 11 x 10 metres and weighing around 31 tonnes, which was installed as a visual statement on a railway bridge. The construction consists of 20 tonnes of steel and 10 tonnes of aluminium. ZINQ carried out selected galvanising services with the duroZINQ circular surface and was involved in the planning at an early stage via the ZINQ Manufaktur – focusing on corrosion protection according to category C5-M.
