Project

In order to reduce car traffic in Munich, the City of Munich (LHM) decided to build a new Park & Ride car park in the south-east of Munich and commissioned its subsidiary, Stadtwerke München GmbH (SWM), to do so. The aim was to realise a sustainable and long-lasting solution that combines functionality, aesthetics and ecological responsibility. Huber Parking was entrusted with the consulting, planning and realisation as the main contractor. Over 430 tonnes of steel were used for the construction - protected by the circular corrosion protection solution duroZINQ. The components were galvanised at the ZINQ Metalcynk site in Bydgoszcz - including particularly long beams, for which the site is predestined (boiler dimensions 19.00 m x 1.90 m x 3.30). The 24-metre-high multi-storey car park was officially opened in March 2024. It not only impresses with its durable construction, but also with sustainable technologies such as photovoltaic systems, e-charging stations and green inner courtyards, which noticeably improve the microclimate.
