Warum Stahl mit ZINQ den Brandschutz erhöht
Hot-dip galvanised surfaces not only protect against corrosion but also enhance the fire resistance of steel structures. In many cases, ZINQ surfaces can achieve fire resistance class R30 without additional fire protection measures – thereby eliminating complex coatings or cladding. This is made possible by the lower emissivity of ZINQ surfaces: they absorb only about half as much thermal radiation as untreated steel up to 500°C and therefore heat up significantly more slowly in the event of a fire.
Stahl x ZINQ is therefore a simple, efficient and economical solution for fire protection – especially when compared to complex systems. This is particularly effective with microZINQ: due to the further reduced emissivity, the heat absorption of the steel is further delayed. This saves costs, simplifies execution on the construction site and makes Stahl x ZINQ a reliable material in construction.
