duroZINQ hot-dip galvanising of parking systems in the 137 and 122-metre-high Lumina Towers in San Francisco.

For a project in San Francisco, at the request of Nussbaum Parking GmbH, elements of a total of 150 parking systems with 300 parking spaces are to be given long-lasting protection against corrosion.

Realisation

At the ZINQ site in Gerichshain, just a few kilometres from the client Nussbaum's headquarters in Markranstädt, Saxony, the structural components undergo the duroZINQ finish. One advantage of hot-dip galvanising: the reaction between the molten zinc and the base steel creates an inseparable iron-zinc alloy layer, meaning that even long transport routes—such as here to San Francisco—or rough installation work cannot harm the finished elements.
