On Friday 16 October 2026, the ZINQ Nantes plant – one of the 21 sites of ZINQ France – welcomed 203 participants on the occasion of its Open Day, organized at its site in Carquefou (Loire-Atlantique).
This morning allowed customers and partners to discover the site’s facilities, meet the teams, and exchange ideas about the sustainable steel protection solutions offered by ZINQ.
An industrial site rich with over 100 years of history
Founded in 1923, ZINQ Nantes has evolved over the decades to adapt to the needs of its customers and to the changes in the industry.
Today, the site employs 74 employees and has equipment suitable for the anti-corrosion treatment of large-sized metal parts.
In addition to its hot-dip galvanizing activity, ZINQ Nantes also offers liquid paint and thermolastic coating services, enabling it to meet various needs for anti-corrosion protection and aesthetic finishing.
La Journée Portes Ouvertes was thus an opportunity to present these facilities and highlight the professions and know-how of the teams that make the site live every day.
An early morning of visits and technical workshops
After a presentation of the site’s history and current strengths by Stéphane Séchet, Director of Operations at ZINQ Nantes, the participants were divided into several groups to discover the various activities on offer.
The program:
- A visit to the factory to understand the different stages of the hot galvanizing process, but also to discover the painting workshop.
- A presentation of the solutions duroZINQ, ecoZINQ, colorZINQ et decoZINQ, adapted to the technical, environmental and aesthetic requirements of the projects.
- A workshop dedicated to best drilling practices and the ZINQ360 complementary products, to assist customers in the preparation and protection of their parts.
These visits and workshops allowed the participants to ask their questions directly to the teams and to exchange on the issues encountered in their own projects.
The exchange is at the heart of this day
Beyond the discovery of the facilities, this Open Doors Day primarily enabled the strengthening of the ties between ZINQ Nantes, its clients and its partners, among which the Syndicat de la Construction Métallique de France was also present. Link: Home – SCMF
The discussions continued around a cocktail lunch, in a friendly atmosphere, allowing for further exchanges and for a privileged moment to be shared with the teams.
A beautiful collective success
The success of this event rests on the mobilization of the teams of ZINQ Nantes and ZINQ France, who were involved in the preparation, organization, and animation of this morning.
