At the general meeting of the Central Association of Surface Technology (ZVO) in early November 2022, the re-election of the board was unanimously approved, thus also confirming ZINQ CEO Lars Baumgürtel in his position as a member of the board.

The ZVO represents the interests of industrial and craft finishers, raw material and process suppliers, plant manufacturers, component manufacturers, and service providers in the German electroplating and surface technology sector, and has been delighted by steadily increasing membership numbers for years. Its member companies are active in the field of surface finishing with metals and metal compounds from liquid process media, and the ZVO is Europe's largest association for metallic coatings.

In the departments and specialist areas of the ZVO, industry knowledge is gathered, processed, and made available to various target groups.
ZINQ has been involved in the German Association for Surface Technology (ZVO) since 2013, and Baumgürtel has been a member of the ZVO board since 2018. Key topics include maintaining the industry's innovative strength and the sustainability of its products, as well as their importance for key customer markets.
