On September 9, 2015, a jury of experts chaired by Prof. Dr. Günther Bachmann, Secretary General of the German Council for Sustainable Development, selected the finalists for the German Sustainability Award.

From over 500 competitors, 15 companies and 9 cities in 8 categories were nominated for this highly regarded and prestigious award.

In the special award category “Resource Efficiency,” ZINQ® Voigt & Schweitzer qualified alongside the corporations BASF SE and Robert Bosch GmbH.

The special award recognizes exemplary corporate commitment to recycling, raw material, and resource management. It aims to highlight strategies and solutions that serve as models and best practices in a crucial field of sustainable development. The award is intended to increase interest in recycling issues and at the same time emphasize the relevance of resource efficiency and the circular economy.

The special “Resource Efficiency” award is given to a company that clearly demonstrates in its application that it has successfully established measures for resource conservation, raw material and energy efficiency in its production and value chain.

The German Sustainability Award (DNP) is the national award for commitment to sustainability and one of the most prestigious prizes of its kind in Europe. It is sponsored by the German Sustainability Award Foundation in cooperation with the German federal government, local authority associations, business associations, civil society organizations, and research institutions. The German Sustainability Award honors companies that combine economic success with social responsibility and environmental protection in an exemplary manner, thereby promoting the idea of a sustainable society in a special way. The German Sustainability Award 2015 is under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The winners will be announced on November 27, 2015, at a festive award ceremony during the 8th German Sustainability Day in Düsseldorf. Only then will the nominees and the public find out who has won the German Sustainability Award (DNP) 2015.
