ZINQ, with Q standing for quality, has once again been honored in 2014: from six nominated industrial companies, the jury chose the long-established Gelsenkirchen-based company. Particular mention was made of its commitment to and within the region, its “Mach dein ZINQ” training initiative, and its high level of innovation with resource-efficient surfaces such as microZINQ® and ecoZINQ®.

This year’s Vestische Unternehmenspreis (Vestische Business Award) focused on industry and was presented for the tenth time. The nomination of the best industrial companies from the northern Ruhr region was based on a quantitative scoring model developed by the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences with the participation of a student project group. After an initial round of nominations, the winners were then selected by a jury of experts.

For Voigt & Schweitzer, the award is further confirmation that the company’s strategic focus on values, tradition, training, and innovation provides a sustainable basis for business.
